The 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships chosen to champion the ‘Better Business for All’ scheme, and the two pathfinder LEPS  have met for the first time in to discuss their successes and share best practice.

Business organisations and regulators got around the table in Birmingham to discuss initiatives and explore promising avenues for the future.

The 11 Better Business for All champions comprise Cheshire & Warrington, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Coventry & Warwickshire, Black Country, Cornwall, D2N2 (Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire), Stoke & Staffordshire, Humber, York & North Yorkshire and Leeds City Region.

In addition, the two pathfinder LEPs are Greater Birmingham & Solihull and Leicestershire.

Some of the local authority representatives had already established business support as part of their activities, and there were specific innovations such as the web portal, developed by Lichfield District Council, that signposts businesses to all the regulators in their area with just three clicks of a computer mouse.
