Cllr Steven Claymore

Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Enterprise, Tamworth Borough Council

Cllr Claymore was educated in Birmingham at Stockland Green Bilateral School and at Matthew Boulton, Brooklyn and Bilston colleges. He served an apprenticeship with the City of Birmingham Engineers Department, before working in computer aided design engineering and contract management within the building, retail and financial sectors. He currently is managing director of 3C Drawing Services, a small Tamworth-based architectural design engineering company.

He was elected as Conservative Councillor for Tamworth’s Castle ward in May 2007 and retained this seat in 2011.He has been portfolio holder since 2009.
