This application is for Phase 2 delivery (2016-2021), which will provide 99.5km of extensions and improvements to cycle routes, building on existing Phase 1 delivery (2013-2016) funded through £17m Cycle City Ambition Grant Funding.

Developed to complement and add value to existing cycling projects, and coupled with supporting revenue measures, Phase 2 will support cycle access to major employment sites and Enterprise Zones, better integrate cycling as part of a longer journey by public transport, improve and provide access to opportunity, reduce congestion at key pinchpoints and support improved health and wellbeing.
