Total value: £5.7m

Local Growth Fund: £1.5m

Lead partner: East Staffordshire Borough Council

Outputs: 707 jobs, 306 homes

This project brings forward the development of three brownfield land sites currently in ownership of the council.

These are:

(a) Bargates – a seven acre site at the gateway to Burton with the potential for 200 new homes,

(b) Dove Way, Uttoxeter – a 9.6 acre site to the north of Uttoxeter town centre. An adjacent site owned by a commercial developer will benefit from new access and help create up to 56 new high quality homes,

(c) Pennycroft Lane, Uttoxeter – a 3.5 acre site which is currently home to a county council waste and recycling centre, waste services depot and small industrial units. The investment will de-risk development by enabling the Council to offer a clean and fully-serviced site to the market.

Funding for this project is available in 2015/16.
