Our Purpose
The LEP’s formal objectives are to promote:
a) sustainable private sector investment and growth
b) business efficiency and competitiveness;
c) economic development and regeneration; and
d) employment.
Key Aims
a) Increase Gross Value Added (GVA, a measure of economic output) by 30% (£8.25bn) by 2020
b) Create 100,000 (net) private sector jobs by 2020
c) Boost indigenous and inward investment
d) Achieve global leadership in key sectors
e) Build a world class workforce.
