Andy Street said: “Our journey over the last twelve months has seen us make huge strides in our ambitions including significant strategic and delivery successes.

“The LEP’s City Deal, the Strategy for Growth and the Greater Birmingham Project have all been launched in the last year, providing the strategic frameworks to drive economic growth and put us at the forefront of the national LEP network.

“The Annual Conference will be an opportunity to hear how these frameworks fit together and will be vital as we move towards bidding for the Single Local Growth Fund from 2015.

“Alongside this, we have seen significant movement on the ground with major steps taken with the Birmingham City Centre Enterprise Zone, particularly with the Paradise Circus development, and also through our funds, including the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative, Growing Places Fund and Business Development Programme.

“We will be showcasing some of the schemes we have supported and businesses we have helped at the Conference.

“Board Directors will also be on hand to answer questions about what has been achieved and what people can expect to see us do over the next 12 months.”

Registration starts at 1pm with the presentations starting at 2pm.

The event is free but pre-registration is essential via this link.
